Does China have cars?
Ian Summerfield ： Your perception of China may be deluded. Ofcourse they have cars. It’s one of the richest faster growing countries in the world, probably about to knock America of number 1 spot and become the world’s economic leader – that’s in my opinion and a whole different debate!
您对中国的看法有点迷惑，他们当然有车。它是世界上发展最快的国家之一，可能将冲击美国成为世界经济领袖 – 这在我看来是一场完全不同的辩论！
Murali Krishna U ： China is one of the top automotive markets in the world. Due to convenient urban life , now a days china cities have many Cars which is leading to hectic life to citizens here. As per my knowledge, there are a total of 13 China based Car manufacturers in addition to foreign car makers.
Brandy Almodo ： The automobile industry in China has been growing very strong, as it is one of the few countries where the market for new vehicles is still growing.
Jason Whyte ： Yes, and too many of them for the infrastructure to cope. I spent 6 months in Beijing back in 2005. At first I couldn’t understand why there were traffic jams everywhere – it took 2–3 hours of driving to cross the city, as long as in Indian cities like Mumbai or Bangalore where the road network is far less modern.
Justin Ward ： A lot of people are being snarky here, but I think what OP means to say is “Does China have domestic car brands?” The answer is obviously yes.
Tanuj B ： Guangdong is a big auto manufacturing region. It’s home to GAC and there are a number of other brands, including Hongqi (Red Flag), which was China’s first domestic luxury brand. Hongqi has recently been revived. BYD, an electric car company, made waves a few years back when it got support from mega-investor Warren Buffett.
Danish Ahmad ： Chinese companies not only make domestic cars, Geely outright owns a major foreign car brand: like Volvo. Also a number of them partner with foreign manufacturers to make cars for the domestic market and to export to China’s neighbors to conform to China’s localization regulations.
