Juzyoncksful : SAT is no match for this
PS X : So my ability to become an engineer or a doctor depends on whether if i can answer a philosophical question? Something which has 0 relevancy to my career?
FleurYT : The questions are designed to make one think outside of the box, and is it only me that found the questions not too difficult?
WestNileSnipes : Apparently this is why kids apply to study abroad in like the US. It’s apparently easier or something.
Akira Hagiya : In Brazil the ENEM has the same vibe, a miniscule percentage of people get into colleges and if you don’t you’re essentially doomed due to to the extreme lack of jobs not having a degree makes you useless
Aaron Delfin : From the sample questions, I think it’s an alright test actually. The essay promos are so broad that you can write your mind out basically.
K.D _ : I was ready to give up and leave at “Do butterflies wings have color?”
Peter4real : Try doing a whole gaokao test and see what mark u get. I think u need 700 out of 750 to be into Tsinghua university.
Business Genius : These tests are genius. They are really good.
Steven Samuel : The questions being asked, especially the essay prompts are incredibly fascinating. That said, to expect kids to come up with an answer to that in minutes is ridiculous and defeats the purpose of trying to embolden creativity
Ascent Ascent : This isn’t even hard. Calculus is hard, but at least I got something to start with. This is like a *I don’t even know where to start, hell, I don’t even understand what they want*
Blank Blank : Ah, so it’s kind of like the JEE Advance counterpart (An Indian entrance exam) of China. Man I can really relate to their struggle, as both of these exams have a very low passing rate, and have high stakes…the entrance exams really are a problem for students in overpopulated developing nations.
stxcoop • : The narrators voice makes me want to throwup 录音
M Otis : When people complain about the SATS they should watch this video.
Hritanshu Rath : These questions aren’t the hardest, but not as easy as I thought it would be
MrSuwiz : I took sometime and i got it. I m Indian.
Parshan. A : So this is the Chinese version of the Iranian konkur?
Ramen Seller : Why don’t you try India’s hardest exam paper.
MPro 2005 : I answered the first question right, I also got 157 iq on a supported iq test, Im so good at chess, I got top 1 in my school. Does that prove im way too smart xD? (edit) btw im 13 years old
Michael Du : I’m Chinese, and good thing I never went to a public school *:D*
Jataro Kemuri : The essay prompts are supposed to be vague. They want to see how you take the prompt.
Lala Lulu : This sounds like a hellish dystopian post apocalyptic trashcan of a system
jacob claes : conclusion: americans are not at all creative / philosphical, but they actually are, but they love to make everything a show…
Diana Yu : Gaokao math is hard, I went through gaokao 5 years ago, went into a good college, and now I’m a postgraduate student in physics but it’s likely I will get low score if I take it now. And for me postgraduate entrance exam in politics is even harder, a total nightmare, that’s the reason I’m abroad
Adrija Mukherjee : Am I the only one who thinks these questions are pretty good?
Roman Corey : Took the psat today, I’m so ungrateful after seeing this
_ FatdogMickey _ : You american students have no idea how lucky you are :v fainting because of stress before entrance exams are quite common here :v even suicide are understandable
CMK Tea : These tests for Asian countries are so challenging. My family is Filipino and my mom said that she had to take a test to decide what high school you’re going to. High school!!! Although she did get a good score and uses it against me all the time -3-
haha2000hehe : And not to mention that math, physics, chemistry and biology exams
NeesRapmon niee : my best tips for exam is to know how the marking system so u can score but it doesn’t mean u don’t need to study . and how to answer this kind of questions .
Maria Ela Yorukoglu : I might go to university in China…
Kdd : Try solving IIT JEE ADVANCED
TheIronWolf2018 Z : I don’t think this is the way to go about for measuring ones intelligence. Most of those questions are up to interpretation and have a very large grey area and being able to answer hard questions does not mean you will be a major contributor to your society, there are so many other things to learn than knowing what some person did decades ago like time management, social skills, and overall just building your self before you go into the “real world”.
Gloria Tang : any fellow Singaporeans? PSLE, anyone??
Dushyant Mehta : India is about as stressful.
Chase Baxter : If the top schools are only able to accept one in 50,000 students, making their admissions not entirely based on an exam would not change the fact that they are only able to accept one in 50,000 students. Chinese tradition has included meritocracy for thousands of years, back to when individuals had to memorize books on Confucian philosophy for government jobs, and personally I don’t see what is inherently wrong with giving people a place in society in line with their intelligence. Also, the few questions shown in the test would not be so foreign to you if you had lived in China all your life and grown up with the set of values that they have there.
Audrey and Remington : I wonder what the Chinese think about the pressure Americans put on teens to be athletes.
J Antonio Valdez : The paradox is there are too many clever students.
Ambica prasad : This exam is quite challenging like the civil service exam in india where the percentage of getting into ias center is top 100 in 1 millon people…
gee : How would these questions help you in life? It seems very trivial and impractical.
Soul Traveller DONJOHN : who ever cheating on this exam will be suspended from take this exam for 3 years. Not in the prison. Except who leaked those question and answer will take the legal responsibility for it.
