Ted Wang: i wish to see terracotta warriors someday by myself. So amazing.
Kami: Oh my god, it was raining when I visited the terracotta warriors too and I was not prepared so my shoes and socks got fully soaked through as I was walking around the shopping center after the exit. I’m so sad you guys didn’t try the biang biang noodles, Xi’an has the best ones!
Patrick O’Meagher: I saw an exhibition from Xi’an in Seattle when I was a kid, but it was when I lived in Nara, Japan that my interest really peaked. I lived about a 10 min walk from the ancient capitol of Heijo-kyo, which had been patterned after Xi’an. So was Heian-kyo, which later became Kyoto and the capitol for a millennium. I learned so much from my ESL students, many of whom were guides, researchers, and museum employees. The interconnection is obvious even at face value, and Chinese influence on Japanese history and culture goes deep into antiquity. I even had a few students that were Chinese nationals that worked and studied in the area, even one from Xi’an. It’s at the top of my list of places to visit when I can get there.
zhiguo wang: i am in xi‘an,welcome to xi’an!
Muzeeb Dir: Am from India but I love be China After India only China is my lovely favorite country love you my beautiful china
Red Alert: Xian, home to so many gigantic and mysterious Chinese pyramids. Like Huashan, another important megalithic site. And the tourists, like the historians and the archaeologists, just let it all wash over them.
Cesc Ting Wujiang Pengnuo Textile: love China
haobo yuan: It is my hometown. I miss it so much, because i have left it for a year.
Yiqiu Liu: Xi’an is my hometown and i have actually been to the restaurant that served mini-hamburgers! I live in U.S. right now and your video is just making me homesick as hell lol. Great video!
Travel Fan: Love your videos! You’ve really changed my impression of traveling to China.
Zak Morrison: HAHAHAHA, I went to Xi’an 2 months after the date of this video to meet my girl friend.
L Zhang: Wow, my first visit to the Terracotta Army Museum was in 1999, just can’t believe it’s 20 years. I love the local food of Xi’an.
: You dont need a bus. Rent an electronic car is very very cheap and convenient. There are car parks and charge stations everywhere in Xian from city centre to outskirts.
Foster: Every year from June to August is China’s summer vacation. There are too many people everywhere.
jvsMask: Welcome to my home city lol. Here are tips for you guys: Baidu Map for finding everything and even taxi.
sk p: Some two years ago, when I visited the terra cotta complex, we were rushed through the place by a guide – we were told that we had to engage a ‘specially trained guide’. He rushed us through the exhibits and brought us quickly to a gift shop, where he worked hard (harder than when he was taking us on the tour) to buy the souvenirs. I was totally amazed at the terra cotta army, but equally totally unimpressed with the commercialisation of the whole show. Oh well, maybe I was unlucky to have got that particular guide.
HAIHUA CHEN: I’m not a China lover, but the museum is really amazing, and there are so many stores ( restaurants etc ), can’t imagine back in 1974 ( not so many years ago ), it was only a small village, and the people ( who lived there ) were very poor, even no $$ to buy a bicycle. ( I got no money to buy a classical or Chinese pop music record, too. back in mid 1970’s
Yi Luciano: It is good to visit Xi An in a raining day during summer. Otherwise you will be killed by the huge sun, absolutely hot city
thyme: it was not nice when you pointing the crowds and say terra cotta warriors (**)
